Toshiba Network Camera-usel Login

OpenOffice3

few days ago came OpenOffice3 final version, so I decided to try them, but I had some problems early, searching the Internet I could solve. Page of OpenOffice3

To download the deb in English

# wget http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/?product=OpenOffice.org&os=linuxinteldeb&lang=es&version=3.0.0

Once downloaded, unzip it

# tar -xvf OOo_3.0.0_LinuxIntel_install_es_deb.tar.gz

We entered the DEBS folder to install. deb # cd

OOO300_m9_native_packed-1_es.9358/DEBS /

# dpkg-i *. deb

ready, our OpenOffice is already installed.

The good thing is that we still have the OpenOffice2, because the new version is installed in / opt

To prove just run

$ sh / opt/openoffice.org3/program/soffice

or $ cd / opt/openoffice.org3/program /

$. / Soffice

But our first mistake would be:
Terminate
Called after throwing an instance of 'com:: sun:: star:: a:: RuntimeExcep

Luckily this is not a bug, we just have to delete the profile.

$ rm-rf / home / YOUR-USER / .openoffice.org

and try again loaded and ready, fixed

If we want to create a shortcut to the new program to create the file based OOO3. desktop on your desktop with any text file with the following contents:

[Desktop Entry] Version =

1.0 Terminal = false
Exec = sh / opt/openoffice.org3/program/soffice

Icon = ooo-writer
Type = Application Categories = Application
; Office;
StartupNotify = false
Name = OpenOffice.org 3
Name [es] = OpenOffice.org 3

We keep it and double click and have access to our new OpenOffice. We can also change the icon (the one I use is oowriter). If

what we want in the menu, you just have to copy them to / usr / share / applications cp

OOO3.desktop / usr / share / applications

And what we have in the main menu.

iWaiter Teachings of "The Cathedral and the Bazaar" (I)

In the previous post

commented on "The Cathedral and the Bazaar" , an essay by Eric S.

talking about their experiences with Sofgüer

Free and Open Source

and the comparison made between the development models of proprietary and sofgüer sofgüer free.
Among the activities conducted by the author and are collected in the trial, frequently exposed learned from experience during the process. Then I rise to speak to them and comment on them:
1) Every good work of software starts from the needs
if personal ties programmer. ( Every good work begins when you have to scratch your own itch ) In fact that's how all Sofgüer Free Movement began ... Richard Stallman got tired of not being able to modify the programs I needed to change to make them work well and started programming everything from scratch with their friends. 2) Good programmers know what to write. The best, what to rewrite (and reuse). If scheduling is difficult, know to understand the code of another even more so. 3) "Consider disposal, in any case have to." (Fred Brooks, The Mythical Man-Month
, Chapter 11)
The idea always is to put bricks on bricks that other people made. No need to invent the warm water. However, sometimes it's easier, more efficient and faster clean slate and do it all again.

4) If and s the right attitude, you will find interesting problems. The trick to a good program is to solve important problems, which have good input anyone has. That's the trick of a successful program.
5) When you lose interest in a program, the last duty is to inherit
a
its competent predecessor. Yes ... discard hurt a child, but if you can not keep, better give it to someone responsible who can.

6) Treating your users as partners is the most appropriate way to improve the code, and debug more effectively.
all unconsciously know that a programmer could try a program so that it does not fail. It is no secret that when a program is used by the public is when the problems start jumping. So why not use this to find mistakes in preliminary versions of the release of a program?

7) Free Ra often ask, and listen to their customers. What good is a program if no one uses? Listening to users is the easiest way to understand what they need ... (Although now that I think many times I have encountered users who do not know what they want) ... Well, the point is that the earlier versions being released, more feedback can be obtained, and therefore better target the course to be taken the program. The ensayito this experience emerge even more important, but these will be commenting on the next post. Good night.

Pokemon Silver Vba Cheat

Sleuth

Today again with another movie I liked me lately, despite being last year and have not had much publicity, Jude Law and Michael Caine provide excellent quality.

Jude Lay and Michael Caine, "almost" the only actors in this film directed by Kenneth Branagh will not leave anyone indifferent.

What is the movie? A famous writer (Andrew Wyke), who lives in a huge house with a high-tech surveillance system is the character who is tinkering with his wife (or ex-wife). He (Tindle) is an aspiring actor, young and extremely clever. The writer invites Tindle to home and he tries to convince the writer to get his wife divorce papers. However, Wyke seems more interested in playing with his guest and your mind, let a fool ...

far I can tell you, I recommend you to see it will surprise you.

Lump In Groin After Heart Catheterization

Cathedral and the Bazaar

One day I went to see the documentary "Revolution OS" , which traces the evolution of GNU / Linux and other adventure Software Free and Open Source. In addition to the interventions of Mr. Richard Stallman
(the precursor of
GNU
) and
Linus Torvalds (the creator of the Linux kernel
), opinions are appreciated Eric S. Raymond
.

, mainly from the release of his essay
"The Cathedral and the Bazaar" . Although it is also known for liking to science fiction, its support for the right to bear firearms and the invasion of Iraq in 2003. His ideas and style have earned him an avid various disagreements with Bruce Perens, Stallman and some members of the community of free software. But on these controversial issues, I will not mention. In the essay from which I spoke, Raymond recounts his experiences in the development of fetchmail, which is an IMAP client and POP that allows users to automatically download mail accounts remote IMAP servers and OP P and store them in local mailboxes. During this development was the need to choose developing a methodology aimed at the release of code and noted the great progress that this contributed to their work.

The title comes from the comparison made by the conventional development style
proprietary software, where a group of scholars is locked in an ivory tower, make a dogmatic decree that all software should be set and never reveal the secrets that are created in the cathedral. Software is like they say, and everyone should shut up and respect the holy will of developers. On the other hand, this bazaar style development, which is the name of the Persian markets. For our purposes, it would be like a style Farmers Fair. Thus, software producers get together and each presents different products, but they complement each other. There is also an opportunity to submit, collaborate on ideas for the show continually improve its products, which are visible around the world. And those who are looking for software, can freely pursue the one that best suits your needs.

In practice, this paper made an impact on businesses and developers. So much so that Raymond's contribution was vital if the team Netscape decided to release the code in your browser. Thanks to this, the Netscape based browsers (like Firefox , for example) have reached a level of quality and popularity of Netscape never dreamed. As test, it is interesting all the experiences described here. They are practical truths that emerged from an excellent idea, as is the Free Software . The collaboration , rather than competition proves to be more effective as an evolutionary approach. The truth, I have much to say about this essay, then follow it best in another post. Good night.

and the world. "

Kitchen Hazards For The Cooks Worksheets

Max Payne, the movie.

Max Payne reborn on the big screen.

Max Payne was born in mid-2001 as a PC game (later was ported to several consoles since mid-2002 and Mac). Incorporating new features like "bullet time" (bullet time, Matrix-style effects) and also with not many resources, graphics were great.

But what I really liked my game, and was so hooked me (both the first part as "Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne") was history. In the game you get in their role, and as you go out scenes from the movie, combined with graphic novels that somehow reminded me of Sin City.

The story begins with the return home of Max Payne, to find many junkies addicted to a new drug called Valkyr. As a result of his questions, his wife and daughter are murdered and he is transferred to the DEA after the funeral.

Three years later, Max is an undercover agent in the Mafia, responsible for traffic Valkyr. During a secret meeting, a fellow of the DEA (Alex) is shot by an unknown murderer, but the police consider Max as the main suspect in the death of Alex ....

Throughout history, well known to one of the most important: Mona Sax.

If you want to know more, I recommend you viciéis a little (or a lot) to the games, before October 17 leaving the film.

Director: John Moore
Actors: Mark Wahlberg (Max Payne), Mila Kunis (Mona Sax), Chris O'Donnell, Kate Burton ...

Hell Ride: Tarantino is back. Available

many may not like anything, but for me, Tarantino is one of the best. And he has again shown with Hell Ride.
Not that this film has led him, but he is in charge of production, but certainly it shows his influence, his style and, as you can see, the deal is similar to Kill Bill.

Synopsis:
Larry Bishop's "Gunman" a very smug motorist who, along with The Gent (Michael Madsen) and "Comanche" (Eric Balfour) cross the asphalt road to seek revenge for the murder of his former girlfriend by the rival gang of bikers "666."

At first glance a simple argument but that these people operate as anyone knows.
If you see her at home with your parents ... eye, they are neither one nor two scenes "warm in, such as:

10 reasons not to use GNU / Linux ... WTF ¿? Happy First Birthday

Navigating

Costa Rica.org
Linux, I got an article where Kmaleon
commented on a blog where someone cried 10 reasons why not to use GNU / Linux. As I am a big chop me day to the task of refuting each of these 10 'reasons'.

1. Because the operating system I use now satisfies me
If you're comfortable paying high prices for a license and an operating system for their office suites, deems could be even better using a free operating system and also free. Oh, and if not paid by their Windows license, you are breaking the law and can lead to problems. Users of GNU / Linux distributions generally use free, high quality and we are not breaking any laws by doing so.

  • 2. Because I do not need know how to ride a car piece by piece and I drove r
  • what That's the worst fallacy of all. Currently, most distributions GNU / Linux is ready for use straight from installation. Bring and office suites, browser, etc.. What you say is true in Windows, where after installing the operating system must also be installing Office, updated Media Player, etc..
Do you need to be a mechanic to drive a car? Are you a mechanic, gives some advantages, but just driving your car like any other.
3. To not be a freak One reason absurd. Do you think people who use GNU / Linux that just speaking, lives locked in a basement, no social life, babbling commands Unix? 4. Too much, but what about quality? The quality lies in the fact that hundreds (if not thousands) of people are continually reviewing the source code for different applications, making corrections, improvements and optimizations. In Windows, bugs, security holes and other lingering much time in the best case for weeks, if they are corrected at all.

5. The terminal is the antichrist and want to destroy us

The Terminal is a tool or an option, like the command line it is in Windows. Most Linux distributions allow do everything from the GUI. 6. Because it running smoothly is an odyssey Most Linux distributions come and stop lists used once installed. The computer with which I write this not require more hardware configurations. Even more have Live mode or Live to boot from the CD and you can try the OS without installing it, to have an objective criterion of whether it works or not.

Many distributions already have pre-installed office applications, ready for use. Just install Windows, do not install anything else you need to start working?

7. Because if it breaks you no one will help I have many years of working with Windows environment and Microsoft is the manufacturer of that in our institution where we work we have obtained an almost zero support service. Even when we have demonstrated the failure of some component and requested correction, we received the response (weeks after) the change does not apply in the next version (which would also have to buy). Typical example: CAPICOM component for managing digital certificates. When I needed help on my home computer with GNU / Linux, I always find on the Internet away people willing to help with any problems or queries.

8. Because in my work all running Windows

GNU / Linux has support for open files that you use in Windows and vice versa. From Word, Excel, Powerpoint, audio, video, to EXEs. GNU / Linux is not an island. Instead, use open standards or ISO for handling formats. Microsoft and Apple use closed formats that prevent or hinder data sharing (Full Age of Information.)
9. For an apple rather than a penguin cool

The objectivity of this statement leaves me dumbfounded. No is an objective reason is a personal opinion.
10. For taking the opposite As you say, free software is gaining individual and corporate supporters every day because they realize its advantages. If you are someone who likes to be worse when you see that everyone seeks to improve, is free to do so. Good luck.

but only a fool sits in it." Chinese Proverb

Certificate Templates

first memory of Canada that today I will introduce one has to do with Canada that I bought there and I came out much better than if I had caught in Spain.

I'm talking about the iPod Touch, a price change were just over $ 300 (CAD) and little change is less than 199 €. A saving of 70 € on apple store in Spain.

So after tinkering around with it, touches make a very personal analysis.

size I found very good, a huge screen to be a small device is very thin and I was surprised a little weight. excessive. I think the iPhone 3G weighs less, despite being more gordote. This is the first negative point. Touchscreen

do you want to tell you, I found an amazing interface but has a big problem, can not be used or fingernails, or pencils or anything, just a finger to a sufficient temperature to press.

removing this drawback, the interface presents a main screen with icons that can be customized.
If you also have version 2.0 you can install applications through the App Store. Music

Managing music is like any iPod with the novelty of being able to navigate through it by the famous "Cover Flow". A curious and friendly, accessed by just putting the device in horizontal position. C'mon, there's not much to emphasize again that, in all mp3 players I tried, the apple are best heard by far. (Perhaps Sony are also at your height)

Videos
The only I've seen are videos on youtube, and they look pretty good. I hope at some of these days I finish a movie. I'll tell you, but since the screen size is what it is ... I hope not much.

official applications (App Store)
Accessing the App Store through iTunes or through the iPod itself can settle several applications. These are what I have given them, and are free:

  1. Last.fm: last.fm user as well, I've installed this application that allows virtually the same as in the software for the computer (either Mac or PC): Go to your library, play stations, charts, events, tags and friends.
  2. Remote: This is an Apple application that lets you control iTunes using the iPod via wifi. That is, suppose you have a computer in a room and want to hear the music anywhere. Why, you take the iPod Touch and you take him anywhere in the house, and you still see your playlists, album art, all your library ... etc.
  3. Twitterrific: to update twitter and others ...
There are many more, but I have not researched enough. Applications

unofficial (Installer.app and Cyndia)
As there, just messing with him put me to work with third-party software (not official). First I tried ZiPhone and then PwnageTool. I'll take the second, although it is only for mac, you have the equivalent version called WinPwn for Windows. Thanks to these wonders can settle a lot of things that are not through the app store, such as ssh access to the device, a real text editor, download videos from youtube ... and more! Later I will be commenting on the applications that I tested, but as an advance, agilemobile have an application to use both gtalk, jabber, msn, aim ... etc. In lifehacker you have other interesting applications.

Wi-Fi and Safari
And iPod Touch has Wi-Fi and the Safari browser, which has the ability to show javascript but no flash! (Meee, negative point) Is there a different application to view embedded videos on websites, and I will tell it later.

Mail, Contacts and Calendar
Through iTunes can sync our mail accounts, contacts and calendars with the iPod. I have them and it works great. What joy to be able to check my email anywhere with wifi access.

Map
I sincerely thought that they would be better. It is a rather limited application of google maps, and timely consultations. You can route but you need internet access, so it is advisable that before you leave home fully prepared so that you have uploaded before.

Later I'll tell you my experiences with the iPod and the "jailbreak", which allows Alice to install the third that I have mentioned.

Ultimately conclusion to say that I'm enjoying it a lot, at some points is somewhat loose, but overall it exceeded my expectations. How well does my memory Canadian!

Back Memories of Canada from Canada's West Coast Film Noir

For that, I just returned from a trip to the West Coast of Canada. It's awesome, almost 20 days straight from here to there, and also making official translator along with my brown group of 11 people who were leaving.

This post is a summary because I have a terrible jetlag and I have not had time to get photos to hang.

The Canadian Rockies have left me wanting more. We saw a few bears (although 3 was an exciting enough number from a distance, being that these days there were attacks on individuals), many squirrels and marmots, and an occasional deer or similar.

The excitement began in Vancouver Island, visiting Victoria, Ucluelet and Tofino, in an area were the most common signs warning against possible Tsunami evacuation routes and "Bear warnings" by beaches where bears had been seen. Total

that much warning to the end not notice even the slightest tremor.

Craziest Sorrority Initiation

exceptional.

not usually write much lately on this blog, but I felt the need to comment on the last movie I've seen. Film Noir .

You wake up and the nightmare begins ...

An animated film with an excellent story from beginning to end. The film is mostly in black and white, with an aesthetic of comic types Sin City.

What

if suddenly you wake up before a man with a bullet in the head allegedly just killed? What if they suffer from amnesia and do not even remember who you are? With these premises begins intriguing and powerful film.

A part of the aesthetic and the plot of the movie, the soundtrack is wonderful, written in the key of a subtle and stylish jazz. Http://kellermusic.com/

I recommend it without question.

How To Get Rid Of Bung Eye Look

"The Pied Piper" by Nadia Molina

One day like everyone else, I was about to start reading the magazine in English
PC Magazine April of this year. I decided to read it in full, so I began with the publishers. It was there that I came across this excellent article by Nadia Molina . I tried to find the essay on his blog, to link, but could not find. As an edition of the magazine is no longer sold as not found on your blog , I decided to type them directly from the magazine, so they can enjoy it.

"The Magic Piper of Hamelin" by Nadia Molina

Remember history? Legend has it that in 1284, the town of Hamelin in Germany was infested with rats. One day a stranger appeared
s offered us

s ervices to the villagers to stop this terrible problem. In exchange for a reward
a. The Piper went to the river Weser, and rats they were going after him, were drowned. So it was. The people saw the results with astonishment, but could not pay the price (I imagine that in addition to the agreement, the piper took per diem, taxes and license you use of his miracles). Then the man that promised to return for revenge. heard this story in the version of the Brothers Grimm and I was always on the side of the flute. He was the talent, why do not you pay? Today, I think that the people had their reasons. Here my thoughts:

1 .- The people could not pay. What to do with this reality?

2 .- Although they could have, rodents may return at any time, at the end of the day, the rats are not extinct. 3 .- have paid, they would have accepted a relationship of dependency with flutist. That's not necessarily bad. But dependence. 4 .- the end they had to pay. But the bad.

As promised, the autistic
fl avenged. While the villagers were in church, the man returned to play their strange music. This time was the children who followed the beat and, together, left the village. The original legend says never heard from them, but in the adaptation of the Brothers Grimm's people had to pay to see their children back.
